[suggestion] Armor affecting skill damage too.

Hello.

Im suggestiong that armor should also affect skill damage.

This will change the point of view of many "including myselft" that I only care for more HP for now.

Maybe not something big but at least a little so it may add interest into buying more HP.

Let's say that approx 2000 armor mean approx 50% less damage (melee). We coul have also a 25% less skill damage at 2000 armor too.

So at 1000 armor its aprox 25% ( dont know real number yet in game its only aproximation) less melee and 12.5% less skill damage.

I think this will add something more to the game because right now when doing skill we know the exact number of damage everytime that we will do except if someone have the 25% overall damage reduction artifact.

With those changes, dont you feel Armor is more attractive now? since we receive more skill damage than melee.(few exception in some case :UB)

Feel free to comment on this its just how I think things should be. Maybe its wrong and involve other problem so feel free to comment.

Skills don't scale up with items and that makes resilient Demigods nearly unkillable toward the end of the game. Your suggestion would only worsen things up.

Actually Skills do scale up as you level.  You just have to put points in them.

This is one thing I never understood.  Armor should protect you."."

Think of it this way if you want to say armor should only effect physical damage.  Almost all of Rook's skills are based on phisical damage. same with Regulus.  If the armor absorbs 50% of normal melle, shouldn't it absorb 50% of a huge swing, or of an arrow that should have lost most of iks kenetic energy after coming over half the map.  Since there is no "magic" resistance items, we are left with Armor and the "reduces damage taken".

If you couldn't tell I agree with the first post.  Karma +1  Where did Karma go..  anyone seen Karma. ;P

And that's why I did say it doesn't scale up with items. Toward the end of the game, with roughly 1k dps demigods, the 1k fireball or 1.2k bramble shield don't play exaclty the same role they had earlier. Of course skill damage ignoring armor helps in that regard.

Altough, making some kind of skills "physical damage" would make sense, but its a beginning of a damage/armor type system...

Reading +1. Comprehension -1

Ok i get what you where saying now.  The relation between skill damage, and Items doesn't stay constant as you level.  I agree.  Though i would like to see a % of all damage absorbed by armor.  I think there should be a Cap on it.  Say a max of 25% from armor,  with like a 35 - 40% max if you have the -25% artifact.

The effect of armor doesnt have to be big. At least just make it do something.

Because when you get hit by a rook hammer it feel necessary that your expansive armor actually help you no?

And yes karma seem broken :'(
