My feelings

A lot of these posts are about specific things. I wanted to post about my feeling of the game overall. I know this is just the beginning of Beta 3, but bare with me.

I've been playing for about a month and ever since I started until now, the way I play feels like I'm button mashing through a fighter. I just can't grasp any real concept of strategy. Part of this is because of the bad frame rates, but I still can't see any real strategies forming. The only thing I've heard that really falls under strategy right now is the boulder and hammer combo with the Rook. That's not even a strategy anyway, that's a combo.

I really hope that I'm missing something that I'll pick up over time, and I am having fun, but I just don't see it right now.

button mashing throught a fighter? Demigod? No strategy?

You really need to play more I think :P

Wow.  Out of all the possible complaints, this is not one I would have expected.

Is this a joke post?

If it isn't then you need to play against other players.  Your button mashing technique won't stand a chance.

End of Ralsar's quote

The button-mashing might be an ignorant claim, but this game really doesn't take as much skill to play as it should. Hopefully if the problems myself and others have outlined get addressed, this skill problem will get fixed.

What I meant by button mashing is that I just play how I feel in that second, no planning ahead or anything. And I do play against other people, I usually end up winning too, which sorta scares me.

Seth, I don't know if you're some kind of uber player who can win a  strategy game through "button mashing" but that has not been the case for me. I'm far from inexperienced in strategies and on multiplayer games with anything other than newbs, it's difficult to win.

Are you perchance playing Pantheon only?

No, and I'm seeing that I tend to plan ahead implicitly, but I have yet to actually take the citadel upgrades into consideration unless I die. There really needs to be an incentive to go back there and have strategies when buying.
