Presenting banners with DesktopX

Hello,

Im trying to build my first widget with desktopX.

As part of the widget I want to present a banner that I get from ad server (openX in my example).

I managed to present the banner using the microsoft web browser component but it wraps the banner with white borders and adds scrolls bars. it means that it looks like a window instead of just presenting the banner.

What is the best way to present a banner? any other option other than using the microsoft web browswer component?

Thanks in advance

Y

If I had a question about DesktopX, I'd go to RomanDA (a true expert), or Vad_M (another DX Guru), PuterDudeJim, Murex .... and pm one of them...might be the quickest and best way to find out what you wish to learn.  :sun:

If this is internet content (flash, gif, etc), then I don't see any other way to display it other than with the web browser. If it's an image online (png, jpg, etc) you can actually use the url as the object's image. For instance the sun emoticon in DrJ's post. I could r-click, get the url, and use that as my object's image.

Thanks for your quick response.

Since I want to present standard banner size 468X60, I have set the layer object to that size.

I have added the microsoft web browser control.

I can not find the way to remove the scroll bars, any way to do that?

Thanks,

Y

There's no way to remove the scroll bars.
