Dark Avatar New game crashing and other issues

Hi

I have been playing DA for a while now, and just wanted to see what can be done about a couple of problems?

Firstly, my game will always crash if i attempt to start a new game through the main menue while another game is already open. Sometimes it will go all flickery at one point before crashing.

Secondly, my game will not show other races ships on the minimap, even with eyes of the universe. Either way, other races ships in visible terrain will not show on the minimap, so i am continually having to scroll all over the map each turn which is very tiresome. The minimap will show some alien trade ships and stations and it will show my own ships and stations but that is all.

Also what is it with the Galactic Guide book? I built it the other day, it says 'all ships can survey', then i took a constructor onto an anomaly and it says, "only servey ships can explore anomalies".? Huh??

IIRC It just makes the survey module free, but you still have to add it onto the design.

#1  Start the game up fresh, load a game, then attempt to start a new game from the main menu.  Then, go and get the debugg.err file for DA and post it's contents in here to show what may be causing the crash.

#2  Is it all races or just one that's doing this?  Is it's color very close to grey/black?

Apart from the mentioned flickering, this sounds like the Civ Manager/Stats & Graphs crash.  It was fixed for TA, but when playing DA I have to remember not to start a new game with the old game on the Stats & Graphs screen.
