Map problems
I am just getting into the GalaxyForge and can't figure out how to make the game load the maps I create there. I can't figure out how to play downloaded maps either. Can anyone help me?
Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

You have to save the maps into the correct folder. For me (and the vast majority of Vista users) it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy
Aside from that, ensure you've patched to the most recent version of the game. You'll need to use Impulse to do that.
Thanks, that seems to have worked.
I take it back. It didn't work. I still can't get downloaded maps to show up, and there is nothing but a blank page when I try to open them with Galaxy Forge. Also, I am running on Windows XP.
Many maps you download may be from older versions of the game. If they're in the right location, they likely just need the version updated (you can do this in notepad, the version is right at the top and should be 2).
The version was the problem and changeing it to 2 did the trick. Thanks!
