assign an icon to url docks

I need to have an icon for URL shortcuts in my docks.

Right now there is only a blank space.

I have Icon Packager installed. Is there any setting I cam make in that to provide icons for ObjectDock?

Are you talking about Browers shortcuts that are page specific? you click on it and it opens to the prespecified page.

In any case you should be able to right click on the Shortcut and select "Dock Entry Properties" then in the window that opens select " Change Image", in the next window that opens select "Browse for an image" in the lower left hand corner. This will allow you to browse your PC and select the Icon you wish to use.

As far as I recall there is no way to select Items in OD to be set with Icon Packager. Tho I may be mistaken.

If you would like to use the icons from your IconPackager sets, follow the process that HG_Eliminator describes and when you browse your PC, go to the following location.

If running Vista: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\IconPackager

If running XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\IconPackager

You will see the folders for all of the different icon packages you have installed.

If you want, you could use the favicon that shows up in your browser address bar, but the image quality will not be as good.

To do this, make your shortcut and then right click on it and select 'Dock entry properties'. Click on the 'Change Image' button and then click on 'Browse for an image' in the lower left hand side of the window. In the 'File name' dialog, type in the address of the desired website like this (http://www.WHATEVERWEBSITE.com/favicon.ico) and then click 'Open'. This should grab the icon from the site and that will represent your shortcut in the dock.
