My List of Bugs

TEC- Starbase, Cap Ship, Torpedo ship

Okay, I have beside me a list of glitches/bugs that I have found in the game. some of these I have found in other posts, so they will be dropped. In no particular order:
TEC Akkan Cap Ship (Colonizer) This ship's automatic ability when right clicking on a planet (or the system when zoomed out) is colonize, instead of move to. This also creates issues when you select a group of ships including a colony cap ship, as it registers all ships as "go colonize" and only sends the Akkan, since it is the only one that can.
TEC Torpedo ships-damage is dealt immeaditely after use of ability, rather than timed with the impact of the torpedo. normally this is not a noticable lag, due to combat, but it was disconcerting when his starbase blew up several seconds before my last salvo of torpedoes impacted.
TEC Starbase- free build? I know it costs money to build the ship, but it also cost money to deply as the Advent I believe. yet it is a free deploy for TEC. Same (I believe, but less sure here) for the upgrades in the TEC vs Advent
TEC Starbase- also, I don't know if this is supposed to be, but are we really allowed to build starbases in the star's gravity well? just asking
TEC Starbase- range of missiles was already mentioned...ummm... if enemy's structures count towards log/tac points in a system, why can you build a starbase in a system that already contains an enemy's starbase?

AI- This may be because I was playing against an easy AI (TEC) to get used to the feel of the new toys, but I found that the easy AI, while building starbases (in random, not particularly important systems) never in fact upgraded them to my knowledge. Granted, I can't tell if it has the docking bonus upgrade or the frigate shipyard upgrade, but they never upgraded defense or fighter base as far as I could tell. again, may be b/c I'm facing easy, just wanted to make sure.

That's all for the moment, loving the new stuff, although the TEC starbase's "special" upgrades seem more helpful than the other two's. I definitely love being able to self destruct a starbase, or have it build cruisers. yay humans!

This isn't a bug, it's just how the engine works. This wasn't really as noticeable before because weapon fire is quick enough and most damage abilities were near-instant so now this sticks out like a sore thumb. :P

Yes, this is intended!

The AIs in general build more than they upgrade. They tend to build a bunch of barely upgraded bases rather than a few fully upgraded ones.
