download of update 1.12 of SoSE stopping at 13.9%

Hi,

I installed the DVD version of SoSE on my pc  a few days ago. The revision is 1.05 and the game works fine offline but when I try to update the game to 1.12, the download stops after 13.9% (34.78 Mb).

I tried different solution like reinstalling the game, changing the preferences in impulse, unloading the Anti-Virus, I still have the same problem, each time the download stops after 13.9% is done and I receive the error message "Experiencing network difficulties".

Has anyone a clue ?

OS : Win XP Pro Sp 3
HW: MB Asus P5E3 + CPU Intell E8400 + GFX ATI HD4850 + Sd X-Fi + RAM 2 Go

My best guess would be wait a day and try again, maybe stardocks servers have a problem. Have you re-installed the game from DVD, or registred your serial and downloaded the install package?

Up to now I used the DVD and reinstalled twice the game. I will give a try for the download version.

I tried several updates without any succes. I downloaded the game and installed it. Worked perfect. Shame we have to download the all game insteed of the patch. Especially when your bandwidth is limited and you got the dvd of the game.:|

Yeah, fortunately you can archive the current install, or the freshly downloaded install package. Just right click on the games button in the My Games tab of Impulse and choose the on of those options.
