Settings gone

My settings are all gone for some reason.

Is it possible for one of the official site MODS to do this?

I first noticed the screen resolution, then the Achievements are gone.

The player name was newplayer again so I changed it to the name I user hoping it would find my junk, but no.

These files seem awful small like they were reset for some reason....

uimappings.setting

user.setting

Question 1: Where is the backup of my settings? (note I have not played online yet)

Question 2:  Whats wrong with this impulse text input, is it double spacing because of the IE version issue it mentioned?  I use firefox, not IE.

If you just updated the game, that is why; Sins clears settings if the version on the setting file does not match the game's, to avoid any issues with changed settings file formats.

 

The forums treat [enter] presses as a new paragraph. For a line break only, press [shift-enter].

No updates today or yeasterday.  I played yesterday, was fine.

Very strange forum.
