How do I uninstall SoSE?

First I installed the game to my XP machine and then I decided I wanted to play it on the Vista machine. I like to keep the machines tidy as it were so I want to uninstall the game from the XP machine but I can't find any means of doing so.

I don't want to just delete the programme files as this could leave things behind. I've checked add and remove programmes in the control panel and the game isn't listed. Neither is there an option from the "start" "programmes" list. Explored the SoSE disc and can't find an "uninstall" app there either.

The machine has got XP home edition with SP3 on it....any suggestions from the experts? |-)

Its real easy all you have to do is go to your control panel .... click on start then control panel then add remove programs.  then scroll down the list to sins and click and on the right side you will see a lil uninstall button.

Hope that helps

go to your C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire, there should be an uninstall.exe there.

Or use Impulse, there's a button there

A neat little program that even cleans up after those lazy programs, that leave registry entries or config files on your harddrive, is RevoUninstaller!

It's just a matter of removing it the same way you put it on. If you used Impulse/SDC, use it to remove it. It will only be under Add/Remove Programs if you installed from a retail disc.

hi all

I'm uninstalling SoSE....couldn't get on with the game at all.....  seems like you play the lowest level and its too easy but step up one level and its impossible to play cuz the AI is wayyy ahead of you.

anyway enough of my bitching about not being able to play this sodding game...

SO I'm uninstalling using REVO and it comes up with 8139 registry entries 8C 8C 8C    why the hell does this game need so many individual entries in the registry ?!?!?!

Oh and the uninstaller doesn't even remove the remaining 3000 files left on the hard disk(and yes that isn't counting all my save files)

anyway adios to a cr@p game !!

@nuttkase:

Are u sure all those registry entries and files are from the game? Manually I can find 10 or 20 entries. Sometimes RevoUninstaller isn't accurate.

So calm down, noone forced u to install and play it.

PS: mailto:cr@p :rofl:
