Problem installing on Vista x64

Can't read the CD and autorun is an insta crash.

Not sure why this is happening. I've tried searching for people who had a similar problem, but couldn't find anything. This is the error report I'm getting.

Erm I seem to have fixed it, but I don't know how.

 

I reinstalled Sins of the Solar Empire and figured I may as well play that until I can get a response here, but after I installed it I tried the disk one more time and it installed.

 

One odd thing though. I bought the game of the year edition and can't seem to locate the serial #.
