A (hopefully) simple request

I would like to see the ability to use hex codes for color selection. Unless I'm missing it, whenever I try to change the font color for text in a new object, all it gives me is the color picker, RGB, and HSL. Also, when I add a color to my palette, it is always gone whenever I create a new object.

Also, would it be possible to add some sort of "viewer" to test skins at different resolutions?
