error when downloading update to windowblinds 5

HI,

I started having corruption problems with windowblinds5 after a year of no problems at all - taskbar goes black after a few minutes and then reverts to the standard windows taskbar.  Open windows are slow and corrupt etc.  I uninstalled windowblinds and now have no problems - reinstalled, same problems. (I have a purchased copy and the serial numbers).  I uninstalled and downloaded impulse in order to upgrade to a newer version of windowblinds 5 and when I finish the download I get the following error message:

Decompression Error

Attempted to read past the end of the stream.

(Windowblinds 5)

I've tried disabling my firewall etc and still get this message.  Any help would be apprectiated...

Thanks

It is the Holiday season and the Stardock offices are closed.  Support will be checking in on support email requests to catch up during this break period.

I'm also having the same problem. When I try to update WB, It prepares for download bout 5 min, then I get the message: "Object references not set to an instance of an object".  This isn't the first problem I've had, in fact, I've never had wb work right on windows vista (32 bit). Long communication with Stardock support until they simply stopped responding :annoyed:     Windows solutions tells me it's a problem with this application and to contact Stardock...vicious circle.  Really wish I could get this solved and working right.  Never had a problem with XP.

The Stardock root database server had a hardware crash on Christmas eve. The DB admins are working on restoring it but some services will be affected including customer database updating, software updating and downloading and other services.  We do not currently have an ETA to solve due to limited personnel being available on Christmas eve / Christmas day but it should be rectified within the next 48 hours.
