entrenchment replaces sins original?

Is it supposed to do that or can't we still play the old version?

Entrenchment is an expansion to the original.  In other words, it doesn't replace it, but adds to it.

It shows up. I thought the same at first, but when I opened up Impulse again there were two icons.

I no longer see sins original after a restart or impulse or my computer.  My version of sins is retail.  What version do you all have?  The issue may be that retail version get replaced while impulse dd versions do not.  Can someone confirm or explain a fix?

Guys you need to keep up...

First thing to be aware of: Installing the BETA of Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment overwrites your existing Sins install. So you'll want to back up Sins if you want to switch back and forth.

I don't really care about playing the original, just trying to help OP by providing more info.
