Virus infection after update

I've just installed the latest update of WindowsBlinds and restarted my PC. Now I'm getting virus alerts!!!

I also updated Impulse, and its still [deleted by mod].

The message was something about a rootkit, I've ignored it for now until I find out what to do.

Many times AV firms show false posatives.  It's a good thing to be cautious but if you got WB from Impulse you can bet it's ok.

What av are you using?

Sorry for the delay, I use Avast at the moment but am considering trying Comodo which is part of Comodo Internet Security.

 

I have to say Avast is good, I was downloading something from 4shared last night and it stopped when it found a virus in the zip file as it was downloading.

Avast! :X   there's your problem right there.

I tried that POS AV and it nearly sent me to the nuthouse with it's popups, and warnings and total BS.. I had to turn the pc off just to get out of it, and to prevent me having a fit and renewing a gun license and buying a pump action and shooting the damn thing.

 

Avast----> Be afraid.. be VERY afraid.
