Transfer a save game

Hi,

 

I installed recently the Dark Avatar expension over my Galactic Civ II Dread Lords. I want to retrieve my save game from Dread Lords to continue it with my expension installation. When I start my expension game, I do not see my save in the load menu.

How can I transfer the save game from Dread Lords into my Dark Avatar expension game ?

I do not find the save file in the game folder... How do you name it ?

Usually, games have a user profile or something like this... I do not find anything like that in your game program files.

DL and DA use different save folders. DL uses 'My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2', and DA games use the Dark Avatar folder. (I don't have DA, so I can't give you the exact folder name)

And by the way, DL saved games are not compatible with DA games. The formats are different, and both versions are unique unto themselves.

you still should be able to finish your game in DL, if you did not update it (galciv2 doesn't like version changes on a current savegame), and it's not possible to transfer it to DA...
