Disappearing ship modules

ToA 2.0

Heya'll, had GalCivII for a while and this is the first major problem I've come across. I've started to build quite large and complex ships, which didn't seem to be a problem, however with the latest ship I'm making, in the ship designer the ship seems to become corrupted and some modules disappear but the hardpoints on the module are still there. When I reload the ship, other modules disappear. Textures also warp in odd ways and stretch. So basically is there an upper complexity limit to a ship? Or is there another problem with my game?

Actually I have a problem with this as well. Making complex, heavily jeweled ships at some point causes the same problem for me. I wonder if there is a graphical limit with the graphica engine or whatever such. I have TA 2.01 currently, and still have this problem. I think my DA games also had this problem.

Is this a hard coded problem issue or such? Or is there a link to read about all this? Kinda would like to know myself here. Any answers are thanked in advance. =^^=

Yes, there is an upper limit to how many pieces of jewelry you can have on a ship. Not sure what that limit is, but it has been mentioned since DL 1.0.
