Crash on start.

Since updating to the latest patch, Sins has started crashing on startup. I'll launch it, hear a 'bing,' and get a black screen. If I alt-tab out, I get a message about a dmp file being created followed by the 'This program has encountered an error and has to close' bit. This is new behavior....I've been playing Sins happily for months.

When it happened yesterday, I uninstalled and reinstalled, and that seemed to fix it...I played for several hours yesterday. But then last night when I tried to start it again, the same thing happened, and this time an uninstall/reinstall didn't help. I can't make heads nor tails of the dmp file, though I have them saved. Anyone run into anything like this before?

EDIT - Whoa, even stranger. If I launch Sins via the 'Sins Launcher,' it starts up just fine. It only crashes if I launch it via the Impulse Dock link.

This has started happening to me as well. It seems more prevalent if I had started Impulse beforehand. At most it takes 3 tries to start without the mini-dump. The last beta and a newer nvidia driver(178.2)  were installed about the same time. I have a slew of mini-dumps if anyone wants them. It seemed better since the 1.11 final, but still occurs. For me it has occured whether I used desktop shortcut, Impulse run button or the Sins launcher.

My game hasn't worked since the update FINALLY came through.  The screen goes black like it's gonna work, then it just crashes back onto my desktop and windows tells me a problem prevents Sins from running.  I'm trying to re-install to see if my version got messed up while I was waiting but am not optimisic.  I waited for months to play this game with it's fabled patch, but now i'm just getting more headaches.  Please let me know if this is something I can fix, or do I have to wait even longer for you guys to hotfix it?

Re-installing did nothing, what the heck do I gotta do to play my game?  It never behaved like this before this last patch.

Well, I figured out why I was crashing.  After I patched fror some reason, Creative ALchemy was causing a conlict with Vista causing it to just crash out.  I removed SOASE from the active AL listing and it worked fine.  After that I found a way to correctly address Creative AL so that now it works like it should.  Sorry if I seem cross, but I was waiting so long for the update and then that hit and I just sorta lost it.
