can't download in firefox 3

Hi, All. This is my problem.

I'm running Firefox 3.0.4 (cuz I HATE IE). While I was previously able to, I cannot now download anything from Wincustomize (WC). I can get to the final download page okay, but when I click on the Download link, nothing happens. NO-THING. Not even an error message. Now, this is on MY computer. I am currently on my wife's laptop, running the same version of FF, and I CAN download. The only difference, so far as I can see, is that my PC has IE7, while hers still has IE6, meaning mine has that #$%$#% ctfmon.exe running. Could this be futzing with my WCdownloads, and if not,any other ideas? HELP!!

There is a limit in the amount you can download without having purchased a Stardock product or if you do not have a paid WC subscription.

Yup, I know that. But it still doesn't explain why I CAN download from THIS PC, but not mine. I have attempted both while being logged in, and while not. (\B):vulcan:(\B)

I know you said you don't like IE, but to verify if it's a browser, site or account problem try downloading using IE and post back what happened.

Are the two installs of FF the same on each machine?  Did you by chance add any extensions or extras on yours that is not on the other computer?  How about firewall settings?

You can turn of the ctfmon.exe. It gave me headaches like you couldn't believe. Run msconfig and go to startup and disable.
