Driver issues with NVIDIA Geforce Go 7900 GS

I've started playing DA (2.0) and noticed that I am getting a number of crashes that appear to be video card driver related. The most repeatable case is having finished the first scenario in the campaign, DA crashes after displaying the "you won" message. Presumably it is trying load a video at that point?

I've seen something similiar when I launch a scenario - after choosing my race if I click next quickly DA again crashes.

I've got a dell laptop with vista. Unfortunately the latest drivers they have are from Jan1, 2007 (what the heck???) and they have no plans to introduce a newer one. NVIDIA took a look also - they suggested I bring the issue up with you guys (since this is the only application I have problems with) or go to the laptop video to go site.

I see there was discussion about this from early 2007, but I presume this hasn't been an open issue since then?

or go to the laptop video to go site
End of quote

I'm pretty surprised that nVidia themselves would suggest that, but it is indeed the best option. Laptopvideo2go.com has the latest drivers from nVidia, with the installers tweaked to put them on any laptop without complaining (the drivers themselves aren't changed a bit; nVidia just refuses to provide laptop drivers themselves). The issue with the Vista release drivers was solved win the 101.41 driver release, so anything newer than that should do (current is 17x.x or 180.x).

Thanks guys.

I see that the laptop to video site is in French and the drivers are listed as "multilingual". Does this mean they are ok for EN also?

I don't see where you see it's in french : http://laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

"station drivers" is in french though, and since they are noted as multilanguage it shouldn't be a problem
