Sorry Philly.  You have to highlight the Ratings.jpg part also when you  copy, and then I launch it in another tab.  it works for me on ie7.  Let me know.

Well, it is interesting, but everyone's opinions and feelings differ on this and they're all somewhat subjective. I think that the Presidents of the far past had a weaker magnifying glass on them (maybe not at the time, but via the "Retrospectoscope") compared to the more recent ones.

Also, I think circumstances can make or break one...and the perceptions of the people of that time. Clearly some were outstanding in how they 'rose' to the challenges, but not all of them had major challenges to rise to.

JMO.

How does Woodrow Wilson rate "Near Great"?  Must be because he gave us Income Taxes or maybe because he invented the draft......

I also feel Lincoln's inability to peacefully resolve issues should push him way down the list. How much greater he'd have been if he'd have accomplished the same goals without forcing a violent rebellion.

Ronald Reagan would be in my top 3......between Washington and Jackson
