More Anti Obma ads
Obama won so get over it
Obama won so get over it
Who cares at this point? Obama wonthe election. Now that it's over the advert service will be cycling them out. Relax. This too will pass.
umm chasbo, brad has the right to not like obama, as you have the right to disagree with him. It's called freedom of speech
if you don't like that then i am sorry to say but thats your problem and threatening to leave the sight just because you can't handle a different opinion is childish and immature. build a bridge and get over it my friend ![]()
Look, perception is everything. Obama won, so anti-Obama ads are...JMO, kinda funny right now. I look at them, and I get that Nelson Muntz from The Simpsons "ha-ha" stuck in my head.
Besides...after John McCain's speech gracious conceding the election, and Obama's moving acceptance speeches...even George Bush's well-wish speech, don't you think those of us who are part of the WC community can put on our "big people" hats, ignore the trivial annoyances of the election and the shadows of it that remain, and look forward in the spirit of peace and hope?
Chasbo, the bitterness is insurmountable. In the "Thank Goodness It's Over...." thread, the divisive foolishness continues non-stop. The same for the other side. These Narcissists cannot accept the outcome of the election and I think we can look forward to 4 or 8 more years of this nonsense.
Why it can't be limited to JU, I'll never understand, but there's always the hope they'll just get tired of their childish crap and get a grip. Their persistance is almost anal-compulsive/religious fanatic in it's unending vituperation.
I think that the best solution is use WC for the skins, etc. and dump the stupid forums unless you need some sort of tech related help.
Any effort to mend will either occur with time or not. I'm at the point of "Who efiing cares what their politics are?"
If it gets any worse I'll just take my business elsewhere, and I urge others to do the same. Who cares about their politics?
A normal place of business keeps that stuff away from the consumers.
Also . . I'm not going to make this political, but those that give their money to support Wincustomize don't see any ads. Those that take what others support through the site have to pay though the advert program. Interesting, no?
DrJBHL you obviously care about the political views of other people because here you are commenting on them, as to you statement about taking your business elewhere i point you towards my previous statement to chasbo. build a bridge and get over it. you cannot stop people from having their opinions and you also have the right to disagreewith them, but to sit there and belittle people because of what they say is uneducated and uninformed in the extreme. Personally i couldn't have cared less who won the election with myself not being from the united states but we in australia have been bombarded with it from the media for months so it was hard to ignore it all. congratulations to barak obama for winning, i hope he can do a good job and also congratulations to john mccain for his humble and gracious concession speech he handled himself like a true gentleman. Now that it is all over let them get back to the important jobs like running the country for the benefit of all americans.
Bye.
LOL one word says it all ![]()
No.
the networks have to scramble now to fill up all that lost election ad revenue, thank god i dont have to watch another political ad anymore, between Toyota commercials and political ads, i dont know which one has driven me crazier
1. They're Google ads
2. Ads go away when people subscribe. So it's hard to feel bad for people complaining about ads.
Chasbo:
We DO NOT control the content of those types of ads. Nobody at Stardock or WinCustomize is directing any type of specific political advertising.
If you want to avoid any ads, I would recommend a subscription to WinCustomize. ![]()

This is another perfect example of threads that deserve to be rated down.. That would be a nice feature. ![]()

I now return you to your regularly scheduled whining session...
The first [older] thread had the clarification of how there's no actual control here [by Wincustomize.com/Stardock] as to what Google ads are shown.
There is thus even less reason to validate a second thread...by the same person about the same subject.
As with any 'duplicate' threads this one [the second] is closed.
