I wonder if perhaps the next Beta version might strike the same time Sins Entrenchment becomes available? Though its a few days yet (?...), that would certainly be a nice double-whammy for us.

Sure hope not. If it goes that long, then I would expect beta 2, not beta 1next, as they have been promising. Also, I think it would be poor planning by a publisher to have both releases (even if 1 is a beta update) on the same day.
