I was just wondering..... If i have built 8 civic research labs and have maxed out my tech tree if one of the labs gets destroyed, or if i remove it to clear up logistics space, would the resaerch needing 8 labs not work? In other words do i need to have all the nessesary labs at all times to have all my resarch working?
Ship hulls, building types, and superweapons (even firing them) need the appropriate number of labs maintained. All the passive upgrades/techs don't.
So as an easy example, if that heavy cruiser hull needs 5 military labs to research, if you ever lose the 5th lab you won't be able to build new ones until you get it back.
