Sound not working(Problem fixed!!)

I'm not sure what happend, but my sound will not work now.  Not in the intro, menu, gameplay...nothing.  Not sure what could have happend, I'm running the 1.05 version(but didn't dl it from that impule link).  Just one day it was working great, then a couple of days later try and play it again and no sound.

Not sure if it's a driver issue or what-not, any kind of help would be much thankfull

Dose the sound not work at all or will it start working after quitting the game, playing about with the actual windows volume controls and then starting the game up again? If its the second one do you have a Toshiba Laptop because I have the same problem and it seems to be driver related.

edit: my problam seems to be random enough that I have had my laptop for 6 months and had no sound problams untill a month ago.

My sound works with everything else, just not with Sins.  Not sure what happend to cause it to not work, but now it doesn't.  ::sighs::

I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game and same problem.  I run with windows vista(groans), on an HP desktop.  If it is a driver issue, I'm at a loss as to which driver it could be.  Thans a lot for your input man, any help is very much thankfull!

Do you have an onboard sound card and an actual card? Sometimes these conflict and could be that's why you don't have sound.

You should probably e-mail [email protected] though and they should be able to help you.

Same here all other sounds work except Spore when it’s not set to use 4 speakers in its sound settings when I only have 2

What sound card do you have? All I can get about mine is that it’s from realtek and says “High Definition Audio Device” in the device manager. As for getting drivers try the update drivers button on the device properties or Google the name of the sound card.

See if you have stereo mixing enabled.

go to: Control panel > sound (classic view) > tab "recording" > right click and see if there's a "v" in front of "show disabled devices", if not click it. Then enable stereo mixing.

Hey Carl, I just left this same message in your thread in another forum I believe.  :waaaa:
