show desktop always hides dock?

i am noticing that when i use "keep on top, hiding off screen for maximized applications" on my dock... it works well except that when i click the "show desktop" button (which i do a lot to hide all opened windows) it also hides my docks...

is there a way to keep this from happenning?

What version of OD and Windows? Im on Vista 64 with the latest Inpulse Beta and it is not doing it for me. Tabs always stay on top here, when using the show/hide desktop button in Quick launch.

i'm on XP (sp3)... i am trying to put a clock in the upper right corner... but for maximized applications it covers up teh min/max/close buttons... so this function is ideal for my needs, but alas i can't get it to work...

The show desktop option actually puts up a new window with not titlebar or buttons and your wallpaper.  All you apps are still as they were under that window.  Kust like OD is.

Windows-key -M will minimize all your windows and still show OD.

huh... so i tried this, but it has the same problem... my OD is set to the second option... "always on top, hide off screen when app is maximized"...

if i clear the desktop then the OD is there... if i bring up a non-maximized window then the OD stays... and it will be on top of this window... if i bring up a maximized window the OD goes away...

so far, so good...

but at this point if i hit windowskey-M *OR* if i hit the "show desktop" quicki launch button... i go to the desktop but the OD is still gone from when it disappeared when i maximized an application...

any thoughts?
