[THEORY] Game Slowdown

Why...

Game Slowdown

Simple explanation: entities get stuck trying to navigate between towers. Cpu cycles are being spent on each entity, trying to figure a way around the map. As entities build up, cpu power is increasingly devoted to solving unsolvable dilemmas - the greater the traffic jam, the slower the game runs.

Unclog the jam, return the speed. I`ve seen this issue many times before with other games. Same circumstance, same results.

i have a theory how to fix the slowdown as well

since most mobs get stuck at the 2nd set of towers at the start of them game each team will destroy the 2nd set of towers then go back to normal way of playing that way it doesnt get stuck and theres no slowdowns

In my q6700 I notice crashes when cpu 3 usage goes to max.

as Striker says, by the time you get giants and game starts to lag each team should be allowed to destroy one of the bottleneck towers that creates the problem.  I've also seen giants glitch at the base shops as well, but that seems to be less common.  Unless the devs feel like hotfixing this one we'll just have to muddle through...

I've had the same issue.  The giants and also seem to congregate around the base cluster and look out over the chasm to the battles...  Than occasionally they wonder off to get stuck.  I have discovered if you lure the other monsters or hero to the stuck creature, they will become unstuck and surge to the enemy base.  Once this happens and they are killed the slowdown is reduced, at least on my machine.

[Suggestion}  Add a function to kill friendly creature and the ability to attack and destroy friendly tower and wall segments.
