Modifying a Start Panel

Arzo theme by JJ Ying

I've never tried this before but, I'm wondering would it be easy to use Skin Studio 6.3 to modify the appearance of the Start panel in Arzo by JJ Ying.  The right side cuts off a portion of the icons leaving maybe 10 pixels exposed.  I would like to have a full sized XP Start Panel.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

Hey BDBF, all you need to do is increase the width of the Top Part of the start menu, the setting for this is on the Extra tab.

Thanks Cavan1! I'll check that out.

Hey BDBF; just downloaded that skin, with the way JJ has created the start menu you will have problems making it look right at full size. part of the bakcground for user pic is on the top panel image and part is on the place side image, the places image is made at size for compact start. I have a render running right now and can't repeatedly apply skin to see if I can make it work and give you the settings to change but I will give it a go tomorrow.

There is a 48 pix sub style for that skin that should hide your large start menu icons if you leave it compact. The main skin is for small icons.

Well, I played around in SKS and it looks like the graphics will have to be modified to fix this problem.  The top, right panel and bottom will all have to be changed I think.  Something for the future.

Just took another quick look, yep, he has parts of images on other images, much easier to mod when top, places, programs, more prog backgorund and bottom are their own images. If those bits of more progs back and progams sides where not on bottom panel it would just  easily stretch to make full start menu, it still may stretch but painting margins will need adjusting.

JJ does great work but I am not sure why he made the images the way he has.
