answered in your other thread ;)

open WB config window/settings/change the look of an app/add per application setting/ browse to the app you want excluded then select/then select total exclusion in the window that opens. hit apply and you should be all set

Didn't realize I posted two threads regarding this issue. But it seems the other thread was deleted, so if answer could be posted again I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the help, actually found the settings prior to your reply, but this didn't solve the issue that I am having.

Here are some of the issues that I am having. The skin seems to override various input fuctions with various programs. For example with MSN, the entire buddylist section is gray, and it does the same with chat windows associated with MSN. In AIM the input section remains gray, and the same with facebook.

I assumed this was simply due to the skin I was using (which happens to be an older version). So i disabled skin rights to MSN, but this did not solve the issue. I even went through applying various other skins, but the gray colors still remain.

EDIT: Some skins do remove the issue of the gray section completly, but it still hinders parts of other programs. For one, there is no longer any gray on the buddylist window of MSN, but all of the text is transparent.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on "System info" then click the "Copy text" button. Paste that info here.

I may be wrong but I believe those sections are controled by the windows coloring settings. WB skins the main elements and adjusts the colors of Windows to match on some parts. try removing the per app exclusion/ resetting back to the default Windows skin in WB config, then apply. This should put the windows and all colors back to the defaults including the menu backgrounds. then first set an exclusion for MSN like before then, try changing the WB skins and see if it still changes. if it does we may have to go in manually and change the colors .

If the issues are being cuased due to the fact that I am using the free version, then I'm not even going to bother with it.

@HG - I followed what you said, didn't make a difference. Skins also change the Submit buttons with firefox and ect.

EDIT: "I may be wrong but I believe those sections are controled by the windows coloring settings"   Thanks for pointing this out HG, I just went through and changed the apperance settings through windows settings.
