A friend and I played 5 games this week in the new beta. 2 out of those 5 turn out to be  us playing totally diffent games. When it happens the ai that replaces you isn't very smart. I would post the saved games but as I have have gone back to 1.05 I do not know if it is possible. Will dicker with it after more sleep.  Thanks IC the patch is looking great. Also looking forward to entrenchment.

Yeah, they know. They've said that they hope to release a special build that has sync logging enabled so they can see why it happens, but didn't say when.

My friends and I moved back to the traditional "port forward" hosting because of this very problem.

Once the tools are released to help ICO troubleshoot the issue we'll help test that function out.

As talked about in this other desync thread I do think the new netcode may be making certain types of mp game desync situations worse.

It would be interesting to test the following one evening with the same six players:   (3v3's seem to stress the engine a whole lot more than a 2v2)

1.  Have each player running 1.1 BETA.  Try a map with a 3v3 and save the replay (even if it doesn't crash)

2.  Try again with the same players except this time running version 1.05 and using port-forwarding.

Same players, Same map, Same systems, Same everything except game-version is key for the above test to have any meaning. :)

 

If I have the time I might try to get this kind of test going this upcoming weekend.

i played beta and got dedly desync- unlykilly my sins crahsed after a short wile, so i have no record or anything. please tell me if the saves anyway stay after crash.

after like hour of "fishing" me and my friend "with who i played" got the replay and save. hope it helps, because it was bloody hard to get out....

Also after 40 times of alt-tabbing i got this bug, wich does not fix by cleaning temp. folder or restarting pc....
