failure to launch

when i select the launch game option on the list after double clicking the gc2-dread icon the screen goes black and another mouse icon apperas but after 3 seconds it goes away, why wont it run.

 Also it is a purchased copy i have from a shop in australia , i got my access code on the back of the manual but nothing i do hear will let me register the game .

I seem to recall getting an error message that stated that the game required 32 bit color.  I might be mistakenly thinking of another program too, but it's worth a shot.  Yours reports to be set at 16 bit, but your card can handle quite a bit more.

Personally, I'd also try switching to windowed mode once the game goes to the menu.  Once it gets that far anyway.
