Reverie

So, i decided to play advent since I hadn't for a long time and when I used Reverie, it did what it was suppose to but then when I tried to get my fleet to attack that ship, they refused/ignored the order.  Why is this?  I thought you could attack them but it would break the trance, so you can't attack them at all??  This seems wrong since it says they'll be shaken out of enough damage is dealt to them.

I experienced a similar problem, except my carrier was the only one that would fire on the Reveried ship. I was unable to target it with my other ships.
