LAN multi-usering?

Is it possible to install this game on two computers and then connect them via LAN and play with a friend without purchasing an additional copy?

You may install two copies of SINS on two machines you own.  Those are the terms of the license as far as I know.  :)  (ie. each SINS license is a two-seat license)

Ah. So then, why is it that one computer in a DMZ and one computer with the required ports open cannot see one another's games when the LAN is engaged? I've tried having either side host and it doesn't work.

What option are you using to start the game??? For Multiplayer (iirc) you do not need to open ports on the router since you are within the LAN - you also don't need to be in the DMZ.

Lan works fine for me, I have a copy of sins installed on my gaming rig and lappy, and as long as their connected to the same network, lan works. if you have the ip of the other comp, you could always try manually connecting. also remember to keep the firewalls off.
