No mod option?

So, I was interested in some of these graphical mods, especially, that I see being tossed about (and some of the planetary ones). Everyone says 'just go into Options -> Mods' but I have no Options -> Mods. Any ideas?

Here's a shot of both my main menu options and in game options screens (cut down):

Have you loaded any mods into the mods directory ?

At a guess, if the program cannot find any mods, it doesnt display the option to select them.

Update your game. The mod button and mod support were added with 1.02, the current version for all the popular mods is 1.05. :)

That too :)

I was on 1.05.028, according to Impulse. I had the mods in C:\Documents and Settings\(my user)\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods and no love. I just went ahead and updated it to 1.09, and suddenly there's a mod button, but of course the mods cause the game to crash :P

Try uninstalling the game, unchecking "show pre-release" in Impulse, and reinstalling 1.05. I recently reverted to 1.05 myself for mod purposes, and the mod button showed up properly this way. Maybe something got goofed up on your patch, who knows.

Impulse actually shows the highest available version, it doesn't show your version (this you can find in-game in the lower right corner on the main menu), so it showed that 1.05 was the highest (before you checked show pre-release), but you were probably still running 1.0 :)

That did it -- weird, from everything I could see, it thought it was 1.05, but completely reinstalling via Impulse seems to just straight up do a 1.05 build, so no worries about collisions or anything not completely correctly. Thanks!
