What are the system Specs?
Does anyone know what the bare minimum requirements for the beta currently are?

a 2ghz dual core and 8600gt, 2gb of ram will run it okay.
There aren't many optimisations currently. The min reqs should drop a ton later on.
I'll try and go try it on my little cousins comp soon.
He has a 2.6ghz dual core, 7800gt, 2gb of ram.. The comp cost ~$200 to make not counting my old 7800gt(which is so old it has no value.. i guess $25 maybe i could of gotten for it?)
I think you can play it with less. Sorceresss has a P4 computer with a 6800 GT 512 MB, and 2 GB of ram, IIRC and runs it just fine on low settings (not sure on the resolution but I think it was minimum). If you have an ATI X800 or lower, don't try.
Right now, it looks like the most important thing is to have a mid-range Geforce6 or ATI x1k card, or better. Not sure if the ATI x0 issues people are experiencing presently are bugs or if that's going to be a hard requirement.
That's one of those things that's fluctuating between bug and 'we don't want to implement that' currently. I wouldn't buy the game if I didn't have that.
To give people an idea of what probably is the very minimum. I have been running it on an Athlon XP3000(2.16Ghz single core), Geforce 6800 128MB card and 1.5GB of PC-2100. It is playable on lowest setting, though it will slowdown at times. I plan on having a better PC before release.
Just tried to play on my laptop.
Dell inspiron 6000, pentium M 1.8GH, 2gig ram, radion x300 (64 meg dedicated, I think it goes up to 128 shared but forget).
Put everything on the lowest possible settings. While it does run, it does not make for a playable game. There is a huge amount of jerkiness and "lag". I double checked my drivers but I am forced to use the ones the dell provides and the latest ones are from 2005 so that might have something to do with it. dxdiag lists my drivers as version 6.14
I am used to playing Gal Civ though so I was not sure what to expect from this computer, demigod clearly has far more detailed graphics going on in real time. I saw it at PAX so I know what it is supposed to look like. I have no idea if such low specs will ever be supported but for now I can not help much with testing.
