[Feedback] Engine Performance

Been playing the beta build off and on and for the most part it runs greats on my machine. However I have noticed that every now and then the game hangs for a couple of seconds. Which is rather odd, its not choppyness at all like one might encounter when your computer is chugging to load things. More like the entire game engine itself has decided to hang for a moment before continueing. Just thought I'd mention this since I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

Further note all my testing has been hosting my own LAN games vs AI demigods not players or over the net.

Heres my system specs

Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+  2.8GHz

Asus M2N-E SLI Motherboard

2 Gigs of Corsair DDR2 RAM

Geforce 8800GTS Nvidia Video Card

Integrated Sound Card on the motherboard.

I also use two monitors but since Demigod doesn't support it I doubt its having too much impact.

Me and a friend ran a test on lan where he put the game on a hard drive that we then "cockblocked" by loading tons of stuff from the ftp server from the same drive. The sudden spikes were exactly like what we were seeing without the high load on the drive, only more. I'm noticing neither of you mentioned the speed or type of your hard drives, but either way it is clearly annoying.

I'm on Vista 64-bit, Q9550, 4gb ram, 4870 x2 (2GB), velociraptor hard drives (10 000 rpm) and I don't get that type of lag. However, I did get it on my laptop, which is Vista 32bit, ~3ghz dual core cpu, 2gb ram, 7950GTX geforce GO(512 mb) , 5400 rpm hard drive.

Yea right off I can't remember how fast my hard drive is or what kind it is. That information I don't know how to find without opening my case up since th DXdiag doesn't have it I am fairly positive that my drive speed is somewhere between 7,200 rpm and 10,000 rpm

In that case, then the loading scripts should be optimized as the game continues production and features begin to settle so that your computer can maintain a steady level of loading instead of bursts.
