Stun chaining ruins gameplay.

As above. Especially notable with Rook, this is best in a combo with TB because he's got AoE stun and instant ranged stun. When you're 1v1ing, they've got enough cooldown, but when you're in a team, chain stunning is the only way to go. You get stunned, Hammersmashed, stunned, Fireballed, TB has ANOTHER stun, and you can be Hammersmashed again or just meleed for the win. And that's it. The only way to win is to do this back to your opp first. None of the other skills matter, only stun and nuke. Regulus is unusable. It's not so bad earlier, but especially when high-damage creeps come into the equation, stun-spamming is where it's at.

Change it to something else. If you could take potions or teleport out while stunned, it wouldn't be so bad, or if you could universally not be stunned for 5 seocnds after being stunned once, or hell, if there was ANYTHING you could do. Take your pick.

I totally agree, Just like Blizzard relised with their Fear mechanincs, Taking away all control of a players character is never good, even if its just for a few secs. They tried to fix it by adding trinkets that removed fear to all classes.

Try to keep "true" stuns down to a minimum and try instead to use silence effects or slow effects more.

I don't mind stuns as long as they don't last too long.  Reduce the stun time by a few seconds and it would be much better.  Early game is fine because stuns don't stop you for long, but later on you can stun, walk up and attack, and stun again.

Stun locking is indeed a bad mechanic.  I think all stun skills (which should be kept to a minimum, maybe one for some characters, two for one or two characters balanced for stunning) should have rather long cooldowns to prevent stun spamming and such.  I also suggest that no items give any kind of powerful or rapid stun (a few top-tier items that cost an arm and a leg and maybe allow for a short stun every thirty seconds or so might work).

Well the issues are:

Too many.  It's best to use more slowdowns, can't move but can still attack/cast spells, most attacks miss, can't cast spells rather than something that does ALL of these things.

You can stun someone that is already stunned, they don't get a chance to try to cast their own stun in between or anything.  Can stun frozen people too, also silly.

If there where less stuns and you can't do another until someone is unstunned or unfrozen ,i'd be happy.

And Tyo said in next build that Boulder will be cripple, not stun.

One possibility: Frost Nova just making them immobile. Otherwise, 2 long stuns on one demigod = not fun for the opponents. The rock stun should also be increased in cooldown or increased in mana. There's comparable skills in DotA but the heroes that have then only have mana pools to support 2-3 casts usually.

Really, I don't think we should worry too much about stunning. It's obviously a problem and it's sure to be fixed in the next push or two.

Why does everyone have a problem with Regulus? He's my favorite and I never have trouble using him. In fact I do well if I do say so myself. :)

Great topic DeadMG.

The dev team will be looking into stun locking.

Yeah, there's a ton of ideas in one of the threads innociv and I were bouncing ideas back and forth in. It was in Demigod Ideas, IIRC.

Here it is:

The responses have a bunch of ideas.
