So Far So Good

So I have never played DOTA or what ever its called.  I got the beta because the cool trailer and concept drew me in.  Suffice it to say, I was impressed with the game.  It was super stable and the graphics looked nice.

I have a:

Q6600 cpu

2 x 8800 GTX SLI

2 Gigs of Ram

Windows XP

Gameplay thoughts: 

I had a hard time moving around the map.  In the RTS genre, I have grown used to moving my mouse to the edge of the screen and having it scroll.

Thoughts about Heroes:

I have read a few people complaining that the game is too short and too easy.  I agree about the easy part but not the length part.  I have grown used to playing games like Company of Heroes.  If the action is not fast paced, I dont see the game having "legs".

People have complained that the rook is OP.  I disagree, I think the other heroes are under powered.  These heroes are supposed to be demigods, not just really great heroes.  I want to feel godlike on the battle field.  Perhaps to make it hard, more mobs could spawn to give it a more epic feeling.
