Now to the Torch Bearer

First of all I love the Torch Bearer... having said that he needs to be changed a little. NOT NURFED, just changed. It says he's a heavy mana user, but I've never needed a mana potion, and I would like them to put in a counter to tell us how long he's in fire mode, and maybe a little more noticible diffrence between his two forms. Yah I know, one freezes, one burns, how much more diffrent can they be, but the truth is, they both have a rain ability and a nova ability. Maybe like a single metor splash attack with AoE or an ice spike attack in the area around him for some close range damage that doesnt take so long to recharge. I'm just saying I would like a more obvious reason to focus on fire powers or ice powers. But what do you all think?

ice is good for baserape and demigods, fire is good for creep massacres

shooting off all your ice then all your fire will destroy pretty much everything around you

Ice is very different from fire. The AoE in ice is much larger, and the nova's a stun. The ice stuns like mad, while fire does a ton of damage, especially in the middle of an area.

Yes, I understand, I know it's probably me just being picky about it, but it seems that they hold similarities that can't be denied. Sure damage compared to a slowing effect is diffrent, but that they both come out as the same form and its a little rediculous, i.e. the fire and ice rain. There seems to be less reason to go fire because even though you do more, it isn't that much higher, and you take so much damage that you'll probably gert more out of freezing your opponent and then hiting them with an ice rain while they cant attack back. I would enjoy seeing the powers being so diffrent, that we get players who say, I'm an ice torch bearer style player or vise versa.

Personally, I enjoy the juxtaposition from an atristic standpoint, but I understand completely. I see it as him having the same powers, but when he uses the power of fire they're expressed differently.

It's a lot more. 4 attack powers vs. 1. It's no contest, and most of those are potent AoE, so fire torchies can really screw up some creeps and rake in the XP.

Actually I need to add something new, I was playing him agian, and it turns out that his Ice rain does double what his fire does on first tier, and it always does more. I'm not aginst him having a stronger ice attack, exept it kind of takes away from the switching thing because now he only has fireball, that does an aceptable amount of damage (his fire nova does 200 at full tear, 200, thats less then Regulus' power) he needs some revamping i think.

He has fireball, fire nova and the burny circle of doom, which more than make up for the ice rain (which incedentally has a much smaller AoE, so it's a tighter focus of the damage, and is different from the fire rain, which is better for liquifying creeps).
