My savegames need about 10 minutes to be loaded. Thats no fun. What can i do?

Get a faster CPU?
Start with smaller maps?
Fewer AI civ's?
More RAM?
Other than that, you are stuck with long load times.
I have had loading time of 1hr+....now that sucks!!!
All i could possiblly suggest is try and minimize the processes running whilst you are playing the game. Turn off your AV and your Firewall, make sure no chat client is running and that you have no scheduled tasks running.
Some of these may give you very slight improvments.....
