Isnt that always the way, the good news gets pushed behind the more "Exciting" bad news, god i hate that, what we need is a news station that only reports "Good" news

People have a taste for blood, hate, salacious innuendo and other negative "news" items.
Just about everyone likes it when the "bad" guy (du jour) gets it in the neck, and many (secretly) enjoy shedding a tear or expressing outrage when bad things happen to good people.
Face it, we are social creatures and "news" items enforce our norms...and unify us in our judgements of what is "good" and "bad".
As George Burns said in his G-d movies, there is no good without bad just as there is no one sided coin.
