Unable to successfully upload .jpg personal account pics

I am an experienced user of Photoshop CS3, and made every attempt in the world to create the required .jpg pic files to populate my account.  Tried different resolutions, different filenames, nothing seemed to work.  Continuously recieved successful upload, but corrupted image messages.  Help!  Is there something I am missing?

It's not you....it's the Stardock servers.

Jean,

If you've made sure they're within the size-contraints and it's still balking, try uploading from one of the other sites (ie. WinCustomize etc.)

Also, I found that setting the picture 1 pixel smaller than the forum limit gets past this sort of buggy behavior.

I believe I saw a post from someone 'in the know' that this was a known issue and had been added to the 'broken until next WC release' list.

Made multiple attempts to upload a simple 48 x 48 pixel .jpg pic at BOTH the Stardock and WinCustomize Personal Account sites. All attempts resulted in a successful upload, but pic corruption notification. Just gives up for now. Monk, tried both your workarounds. Nah-dah. But thank you again.

I tried repeatedly over a two day period to update my avatar,with the same results,except the picture was accepted,and it said upload successful then *poof* on the second day it was changed.You could keep trying periodically,it may work for you ,but only if it feels like it. ;) Btw,I used WC for the change.

Use the forums to upload your images if the main site is not functioning properly for you.

Chuckling. Whaaaaaal. Yeah. The pics now upload successfully. At least that's what the sys server msg reads at the pic update window. One glitch, however. The uploads show as successful now, BUT the PICS THEMSELVES DO NOT CHANGE OR UPDATE TO THE NEW, SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED ONES. Sighs. Shakin mah head, and smackin it on mah keyboard.

It may take a bit for teh image file to replicate around to the different servers.  Refresh your cache too.

I got this to work but, only from the Forums. Just below at the top where it says Welcome it says My Account that's where you do it. Then just log out and log back in. It worked for me.

CTRL F5 usually fixes it for me (clears the cache, shows the new image).

Using the combo of BigDog's counsel, followed by Bebi's CTRL+F5 refresh did the trick. Found it important to insert the cursor into an empty upload field to bring focus to the page for the CTRL+F5 refresh thingy. Thankee peeps. Appreciate the help.
