Serial key trouble

i have a tiny, tiny problem with YOU Stardock.

you see, my serial key is unsable since it seems you can only register it once and since i haven´t played this game (Galciv 2) for atleast two and a half year i couldn´t possible remember the login info that i used when i registered it the first time and since then i have changed my e-mail, you guys came up with Impulse(which could kind of need a FAQ of sorts or a manual on HOW to use the thing)

So i tried with tech support(GLHF!) and the only response i have been getting is this:

Please let us know if you should have any further questions/concerns. "

My guess is that this reply above is an automessage and my problem is not by a longshot resolved so i thought " maybe i should just post in the bug support forum? "

so my problem is this; i bought a game( its a while ago but still...) i can play it from 1.0 but i suspect that a whole lot of pathes as been released since then, patches that i can´t use since my serial is already registered and being the very impractical person i am i can only see one solution to my problem:

You un-register my serial key from my old account based on WHAT account my serial key is now registererd for( you can do that....right?)

oh and a tiny question to end all this: How do you tell the difference between a zero and an O on the serial key?
