Stardock's Map designer is a nice addition to the game, but with only random generation takes away considerable amount of player control and creativity. I would dearly like Stardock to build upon thier map designer by allowing player to set each planet around a sun and the phase lane length and numbers, the number of resource nodes for a planet, and the biggest, the ability to place computer or player starting planets. I really want the ability to create a unique solar system rather than setting a bunch of random bars to various which I hope will create a map I want to play on. If Stardock can upgrade thier map designer to this, sins will be my new favorite rts.
