Toolbar icons in IE7

I downloaded IE7 because Microsoft kept sending me popups about site updates. But now my WB toolbar icons can't be displayed. There are just those funky IE& icons. I would uninstall it, but when I do I get a popup message when I try to log in to my Google homepage. I am in a quandry. Should I uninstall IE7 and just live with the popups? Or should I just forget about trying to display windowblinds toolbar icons? Ideally I would like to have the icons in my IE7. Is that possible?

No, u cant have the IE6 Icons in IE7. IE6 will be slowly phased out. Dont worry too much, Vista doesnt have any explorer toolbar icons either.

Huge mistake on the part of MS..imo.

I was using IE7 and hated it. Because I use Rogers internet service, I changed to their Rogers Yahoo Browser and used that for quite awhile. I liked it, but there was some things you couldn't change. For the past two weeks, I've been using Firefox 3 and it's great! No complaints. It's skinnable and has great add-ons, plus it seems to load pages a little bit faster. It just seems to have more options then Internet Explorer.

I'm glad IE7 got rid of all those useless toolbar icons. Everytime I got on a new computer I had to hide just about all of them, seriously, why do ALL of them need to be visible by default? Blah.

They always have been on any machines I've used with IE6 on it. At least more than anyone could ever really possibly use.

XP OS Defaults

IE6 13 showing , 10 Hidden

Explorer 6 showing , 17 hidden

Total 19 Showing , 27 hidden.

Any can be hidden or shown by customization.

Why someone would rather access a file menu rather than a visible icon is beyond me.

I'm just sayin  :)
