Can't Activate- Parsing Error (2)?

Thought I'd relax this weekend and buy the new expansion for Gal Civ 2.  Shelled out my $$ and now when I try to launch the game, it tells me that my activation has failed and pops open a text file that says...

Application start: 2008-8-3 5.1.43Silent modeMode 2Submitting activation request...Download: successResult parsing error (2)Error activating the productPlease check the serial number that you have entered and ensure that it is associated with the email you used. Try to activate the product again. If you are using Stardock Central you can right-click on the product and attempt to activate without reinstalling. Please include this log file when contacting [email protected].

Tried to activate it through Stardock Central, Impulse, and inside the game itself.  Got the e-mail with all my serial numbers in it just to be sure and copied & pasted directly from that.  Even tried manually typing the code in myself.  Nada.

I sent an e-mail to [email protected] w/the log file attached, but has anyone else had this problem and what was the solution?  I bought the original game from Wal-Mart and the two expansions online, so I know there is no problem with the serial, other than it doesn't seem to work!

Thanks for any help...

Having the exact same problem trying to reinstall Windowblinds 6. Very annoying.

I have exactly the same problem here, too.
Actually, this is more than annoying.

I have bought a product, I have spent money. And now, I am at the mercy of a small company, whether I can really use that product or not.
I am convinced, that "Product Activation" as we see it now appearing in more and more places is not a good thing. But at least Microsoft has a 24/7 Hotline, that will make sure I can use my legally purchased Windows/Office/whatever anytime. Maybe this thing is just too big for Stardock.

Where is Stardock's "Activation Issue Hotline"? As far as I can see, their support office is manned Monday to Friday at usual working hours. If this is true, that means for me I will have to wait quite a long time. My credit card was billed instantly though.

You know guys, I could not care less about "parsing error"s. Or whether a server is down. Or whether an internal update went wrong. Those things should not be my problems.
Shit can happen of course. But if Stardock insists in burdening me with this activation process,
they should fix their problems when they happen, and not some time during office hours.

I wanted to spend a nice Sunday afternoon, playing an awesome new game.
Didn't quite work out.

Same here, but maybe you're in luck! I tried it again this morning, and magically it worked just the way it is supposed to. Launched the game from inside Impulse and it started right up. Maybe someone had to reboot the server or something.

Agree that it was annoying, but give it another shot and see if it works for you now. I didn't get any e-mails back yet or anything... just thought I'd try it again.

Good luck, and may your Sunday turn out to be cosmic after all!
