Depends on which update you downloaded.
1.09 (1.1 Beta) changes are seen here.
1.05 here.

there is more than one update, there is the 1.05 patch which is the current patch for the game

and there is the 1.09 beta patch which is in testing currently and can only be downloaded via Impulse
, stardocks software distribution programme which is totally free to download.

To me it sounds like you installed the 1.05 patch since it came from the website, its basically a fix to a few bugs and some game tweaks that needed making after the game launch.

All you have to do now is play the game and have fun!
