This seems like such a nubish thing to say, but i have to say that im a total newcomber to 4x games. I downloaded this game at 8.00pm, and after deciding to go for broke and start on a huge-word 8 faction random campaign, ive finally looked at the clock and its 3.00am.

A game hasnt drawn me that far in in years!

Though im sure its been talked about a million times before, i have to say the interface is absolutely brilliant, and very intuitive. within the hour i had a chain of fortified planets, and was pwning my neighbouring factions with 3 capital ships.

Im still absolutely ecstatic that i took the plunge to buy this game, though im sure im preaching to the converted here ill just have to convince as many friends as I can to buy it. The next step for me is to fight a human, which is a scary thought.
