Diplomacy?

    Am I missing something in regards to the diplomacy. All I can do is give money or attack other factions to gain there trust. I do not see an option to ask them for cash or a favor. Is this just the way the diplomacy works if so it's one sided.

It is kinda lame but yea, you only get orders to attack someone if that someone is 2 phase jumps or less.
