Missiles and exhaust help

right now im moding the Hacyon cruiser for the halo mod and i was adding the exhaust and missles today when i ran into 2 problems

1. when adding the null points and made the arrow face out for weapons (in this case my missles) and i loaded it up
the missles just traveled straight through my ship instead of out then going to target

2.is it possible to add more then 1 type of exhaust cause i got the 2 main engines but i need to add exhuast for the 4 smaller ones

1. Umm, what do you mean, they will fire directly at the target, if the route to the target is through the hull then thats the way they will go.

2. Dosn't look like it, what you can do is use a smaller exhaust type and then use multiple exhuasts very close to each other to make a bigger one.

Does any one know how many meshpoints is maximum?

i thought there was a guy who made them fire to the side then towards target/

As long as the null points a rotated corectly then they should work make sure u froze everything in XSI before exporting otherwise the changes might not take effect.

As far as I know, missiles have a set travel distance where they travel to first then move towards their target. There is some variable either in the mesh for the ship or its entity that does that. So technically, using that you might be able to have missiles with an exit point on the side that fire in the forward arc. Just a guess there.

Of course, the main advantage to missiles is that they have no set arcs due to the fact they can change course in mid-flight and are capable of receiving new target data via onboard computer systems.
